MS Access Multiuser - report giving double amount on single day only

Hi,
I have a multiuser access fe/be setup, and a report is
giving me double the amount of an item ordered, but only
for one particular day. the query which drives the report
returns the correct amount, and even looking at the raw
data shows the correct amount. It's not a report problem,
per say, as it's only for one particular day this happens.
the same report returns the correct amount for other days.
also, most but not all of the orders were entered on the
same day, but again, not all.
I have access97 sp2, and jet3.5, and everything else seems
fine, except for this one report on this one day.
Anyone seen anything like this?
Any ideas on troubleshooting or resolving this would be a
great help - don't have much hair left after this one.
