Author Any caveats with Compact on Close?

I'm setting up a multi-user database application, and I was thinking of
setting the BE to Compact on Close. I'm wondering if there are any cautions
or potential problems with having the BE automatically compact like this?
Any potential for corruption that wouldn't occur if I don't compact on
close?

Thanks,

Carl Rapson
