RI update problem fix?

Scenario in DB

Customer has primary key custno
so_master, so_detail etc have custno keys
RI is set up that if custno changes in Customer it also changes in
so_master, so_detail etc..

Works fine unless

You run it from a form and so_detail is used and opended Read_only in the
Dataenvironment.
7.0 RI seemed to reopen the child tables in a new work area. 9.0 seems to
use the one that is already open and that is Read Only and therefore the
update will fail with a "cannot write to cursor" error.

Anybody aware of a fix besides opening the filer R/W in the dataenvironment?
