Author SDI, Thermometer and Report

I have an SDI application that imports data from an Excel file, does
some data manipulation and generates a report. I use the config.fpw
file to hide my screen at startup and my form's showwindow property is
set to 2-Set as Top Level Form.

After the user select the Excel file to process and hits the GO button,
I would like the Thermometer object to come up to show the progress and
when completed, I would like a report to come up in preview mode.

What is happening is that the thermometer is not showing up and the
report comes up inside the top level form. Is there a way to achive
what I'm describing without having to use the screen.

Thanks!
