| It's a few days that each time VFP 8.0 starts inside the taskpane i read:
0:OLE error code 0x8007007e: Can't find specified module (Message is in
Italian .. this is the translation)
This probably is happened after I've run a register cleaning utility
(System Mechanic).
I've tryed te re-install VFP but nothing is happened.
How can I work around this problem?
Thanks in advance.
Carlo Sidari.

| Hi Carlo:
Here are some ideas:
Delete the Foxuser files (Foxuser.dbf and Foxuser.fpt)
Exit VFP and remove the Foxtask.dbf and .FPT files from FoxCode table
located in the folder pointed to by Task Pane textbox of the Tools>Options
dialog.
I hope this helps.

| Lee, I've tried.. but unfortunately nothing has changed.
My idea is that, this OLE error, comes from a badly registered DLL...
but which one?

| Hi Carlo:
Since you think this problem begin after running a registry cleaning tool,
I would go to www.sysinternals.com and download Regmon. Install this tool
and begin a log file. Then start VFP and reproduce the error. A log of
the registry that the Task Pane tries to access might give you a clue as to
the file or registry key that is missing or not registered properly.
I hope this helps.
