Author Foxpro2.6 Disappears

Dear All,

After Patching up all the patches, i was succefull to install FoxPro26
for win on my machine having windows 2000 prof.

First when i had install foxpro i was getting eror divde zero...then i
had apply patch, after that i was not having error.

But now i am unable to open FoxPro...or the programme which has been
written in foxpro ... It shows the welcome screen and disappears. If i try to
directly open my project file....then to same thing it shows the welcome
screen of foxpro and gets disappear.

Plz help me..

have you rebooted?
what's your cpu mhz?
have you tried using "slowstart" (or foxstart) ? I've seen systems that even
if patched, still need the slowstart...

Dear Josh,

My CPU is Pentium 3 1ghz

And what you mean by slowstart and foxstart...can you plz explain how should
iu run that. Is that file available by installing foxpro 26 for windows or i
should download from some where else.

And let me also tell you that i have only foxpro 26 install on my
system...no other visual foxpro or foxpro for dos installed.

your cpu is slow enough that if you applied the slow computer patch; you
shouldn't need the other things I mentioned.

What is your config.fpw file?

Dear Josh,

I really dont know which patch i have applied...i mean is that patch
was for slow machine or for any other machine.

If you know the link where i can download patch for my machine plz send me.

And my CONFIG.FPW IS " KEYCOMP = DOS ". Is that OK? or i should change it.

That's fine -- I was looking for hard coded temp directories.
