Hi!
When I try to generate the distribution disks,
fox pro 5, sends me a message that there is a problema with some file with
name
0090359.tmp, it says that I have to check that is no being used by another
application and try again
I am using Visual FoxPro 5, in a windows XP machine.
Please, help !, would be that I am using XP and the fox is too old ???

thanks a lot friends

it could be that your hard drive is full and it cant create the
necessary temp files needed to create the executable. or your hard drive
is corrupted and when it tries to allocate free space on the hard drive
to create a temp file, it gets an error.

make sure you have enough free space, should have over 100mb or so on
any system free, or you will run into problems.
next run scandisk or chkdsk and make sure you have no hard drive problems.

I have 4.41 Gb, I think is enough,
I tried in my office also with XP and I got the same error message.
I have visual version 8 but I can not see the wizard for generating the
distribution disks, where in this version is this wizard located ? or does it
have another name ?

thanks
Mario

starting with vfp7, they started providing an express version of
installshield, which is found external to the foxpro environment. look
under program files -> installshield.
I don't care for this setup program at all, i've been using setupstream
instead. i find it much easier and nicer to work with.

Hi Mario:

I would clean up the Setup Wizard files and try to recreate the setup disks
again.

1. Search your development machine's hard drive for every instance of these
files and delete them:
dkcontrl.dbf
dkcontrl.cdx
wzsetup.ini.

2. Delete the disk images and the compress directory.

3. Under the \\VFP directory, delete the \\distrib directory. Do not
delete the Distrib.src folder!

I hope this helps.

I tried to move my application to c:\, and OH surprise, I had another copy of
the application at root. I delete this directory, tried again, and I worked
fine !!!!
Somehow, a duplication confused fox

Sharing with joy
