Wednesdy, February 23 and 21:00 the connect string for
ACCDB, CERNDB1, JACOWDB and RMDY databases will change.

How will you be affected?

1- If you are using the central tnsnames files provided
on AFS and DFS, this change will be transparent for you.

2- If you are connecting to these databases with a local
copy of the tnsnames file, you will need to copy the
new tnsnames file or update your local copy after
February the 23rd at 21:00.

3- If you are connecting to these databases from a java
program you will need to update the connect string you
use in your code. The value of the new connect string
you need to use is available in the following web page.
Note that you can already update to the new connect string
in your java codes today.
http://cern.ch/wwwdb/oracle/service...aldatabase.html

After that data the old connect string will no longer be supported.

Please contact oracle.support@cern.ch if you have any question
concerning this operation.
