Dear Oracle users,

Next Monday, 4th April (at 15h00) a new Oracle package will be deployed on
Windows.

This new package contains:
+ Designer 10g (9.0.4.5)
+ Developer 6i + PatchSet 16
+ Rdbms clients 9.2.0.6
+ Rdbms clients 10.1.0.3

The differences, with respect to the current v5 release, are:

Designer:
+ new Designer 10g (It was Designer6i R4.7, now it is Designer 10g)
This change implies an upgrade of the Designer repository hosted in CASEDB.
To this effect, we will start the upgrade of casedb also at 15:00. It will
take around 3hours.

Developer:
+ new patch for Developer (It was Patch 13; now Patch 16)

Oracle Basic clients:
+ old 8i clients are removed
+ 9i clients (It was 9.2.0.3; now 9.2.0.6)
+ new 10g clients

NOTE!
Please, if you have created private shortcuts or you call an Oracle
application from another one, remember to modify the path to point to the
new Oracle_Homes:

OraHome10g now points to G:\Applications\Orac
le\OraInst\v6\10g
This is the Oracle Home used by sqlplus, exp, imp, sqlldr, etc.

OraHome9i now points to G:\Applications\Orac
le\OraInst\v6\9i
This is the Oracle Home used by sqlplus, exp, imp, sqlldr, etc. version 9i!!

DevSuiteHome904 points to G:\Applications\Orac
le\OraInst\v6\DS10g

DEFAULT_HOME now points to G:\Applications\Orac
le\OraInst\v6\Dev6i
This is the Oracle Home used by Forms and Reports 6i.

The Oracle Home by default is OraHome10g.

In order to get the new package you will have to restart your PC.

Montse Collados.
