Re: New bie
You can use the syntax check in QA for this. Aynway, unless you don=B4t
have a database to do a semantic check and object resolution you can
hardly check that. Download a MSDE and fire the script against a sample
database.

Re: New bie
You can download the SQL Server 2005 Express Edition from the link below.
Not only is it free and fully functional, you can use it in production
application too.

Re: New bie
You can download the Oracle Database 10g Express Edition from the link
below. It is free and fully functional, for use in production, education,
testing, and so on.

You don't mention platform explicitly - the above leaves you pretty much
operating system independent so you can chose the best, and most cost
effective, way to roll this out.

Which is, of course, precisely what you can do with Oracle XE except
that you then are not limited to a single brain-dead operating system.

Indeed, a very grown-up comment!

If Dan insulted you by only posting a link to SQL Server 2005, and not
mentioning Oracle, I can only say I am sorry. But since I know Dan as a
very nice and friendly person, I am fully convinced that his purpose was
only to be helpful with what he could contribute with. Besides, someone
else had already posted a link to Oracle XE.

Re: New bie
VERY SORRY. My bad. I did not notice this was cross posted. I
thought it was only posted to the microsoft sql group.

My apologies, and i did not mean to start a flame fest, just bad
humor!!!
