Can I specify a mail server when running a job in SQL server

Hi,

We used to have an email profile in a SQL server, and we can use the
stored procedure..xp_readmail to read email. Now we need to move all
DBs to a SQL server and we are not going to install MS Outlook.

Is there a way I can still read email from a profile, like specifying
the mail server and account? Or is there any alternative?
