Support Forum for database administrators and web based access to important newsgroups related to databasesHello.
We SBS2000(SP4) with SQL2000 installed. When i attempt to run the SQL
Enterprise Manager, i get the following error:
Snap-in failed to initialize
Name: Microsoft SQL Enterprise Manager
CLSID:{00100100-1816-11d0-8ef5-00aa0062c58f}
Does anybody know how to resolve this ?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks,
Tony
Post Follow-up to this messageHi Tony
Sometimes renaming the MMC file will resolve this issue.
Possibly re-applying a service pack may also help.

Post Follow-up to this messageHi,
You can try re-registering sqlmmc.dll:
regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\Binn
\sqlmmc.dll
