The changes in this release significantly enhance our BI and Information Collaboration capability. The needs of business users continues to drive our development philosophy and with R2.4 Yellowfin delivers even greater business advantage through easy to use yet powerful Business Intelligence tools. Major Enhancements Report Archival The most compelling change within this release is report archival. This allows users not only to save their report definition but to save copies of the data as well - allowing them to view previous instances of the report. No scripting, no background tasks - all managed through the Yellowfin interface. View Constraints One of the major issues in delivering BI authoring capability to users is ensuring that the publish reports which contain accurate data. With Yellowfin's constraint process organisations can place rules on data elements to ensure that only a correct combination can be used. Jasper Integration Whilst Yellowfin uses a page design concept for report authoring Jasper XML allows users to author banded reports similar to Crystal and ideal for production style reporting such as invoices. By integration Jasper XML into Yellowfin users can publish and manage Jasper reports through the Yellowfin platform. Enhancements Improved Calculated Columns within the View Builder Improved Charting - formatting, drill through and meter charts. Report Caching - improving the performance of report delivery Grouped Variables - create brackets such as age bands etc Web Services - access reports from 3rd part applications
