SSMS 2005 Default DB in Solution Explorer when creating new query
Hi,
Every time I create a new query from the SSMS 2005 Solution Explorer it
defaults to a DB that I was working on before. How do I change the default D
B
in the connection or for creating a new query?

Thanks

RE: SSMS 2005 Default DB in Solution Explorer when creating new query
Hi Steel,

Welcome to use MSDN Managed Newsgroup Support.

From your description, my understanding of this issue is: you want to open
a Code Editor window using a particular database. If I misunderstood your
concern, please feel free to point it out.

Just right-click the database you want to editor code and then click New
Query. The Code Editor window will using a particular database.

Also you can change the database you using. On the tool bar , before the
Execute button, you can see the Database you are using. You can choose the
database you want to edit code in the dropdown list.

Hope this will be helpful!

Re: SSMS 2005 Default DB in Solution Explorer when creating new query
How bout if the UI was smart enough to know what database I have been
working in all day? Worked Great in SQL 2000 Query Analyzer!

The Quest Continues,
