error when trying to do datamining

Hi,

I am a newbie and I was trying to learn how to use the analisys server
but, when try with "new mining model" I always get this error:


"unable to get the list of data mining algorithms. Operation is not
allowed when the object is closed."

I tried reinstalling everything as I read on the internet googling, I
reinstalled sp3a, service manager and even the ms sql but nothing, the
same problem always arises

any ideas?
