SQL 2000 high virtual memory
Hi,

We've got a Win 2003 SE server running with 2GB RAM and SQL 2000 SE
installed. The virtual memory usage for sqlservr.exe seems to be rather high
though - the Mem Usage in task manager for this process is around 450MB
which seems fine but the VM Size is 1.7GB. Any ideas why it ight be so high?

Thanks - D.

RE: SQL 2000 high virtual memory
Hi

This may be an indication that you have a memory bottleneck, check the
perfmon counters and see the memory usage in more detail and to see if you
are paging to disc.
