Memory > 4GB on Cluster
Hello. This topic has been beaten to death, so I apologize for asking the
question again. I just can't seem to get a handle on what I should do.

A client of mine has a 2 node SQL 2000 A/P failover cluster with Server 2003
Enterprise SP1 on each node and SQL 2000 Enterprise. They have been running
2GB of RAM for a couple of years, but we've decided to max the RAM to the
limit the hardware is capable of, which in this case is 6GB per node.

My understanding of what I need to do is this:

in boot.ini set /3GB and /PAE

in SQL enable AWE and set 'max server memory' to some appropriate value.
(In this case I think 5GB is a good place to start)

Am I forgetting anything? Misunderstanding anything?

Thanks,

RS

Re: Memory > 4GB on Cluster
Yes that is correct. Just set the Max Memory to 5GB before you set AWE on
and you should be all set.
