Sql server slow down
Hi All,

I have a Windows 2000 machine running sql server 2000 at office.
Recently, my sql server has become painfully slow. To give an idea, entering
Query Analyzer takes 1 min just to establish a connection with the database.
Choosing a database from the drop down takes a long time for the combo to
display all the databases. Expanding the database node in Enterprise Manager
takes ages for it to expand.

I have scanned my pc for any virus but didnt find any. I have removed
sql server and installed a couple of times but to no avail. Can anyone
please suggest me a solution apart from formatting my pc!

Many Thanks

Re: Sql server slow down
Hi

This does have serious impact as you have found! Don't forget to delete the
log file and free up the space!
