Support Forum for database administrators and web based access to important newsgroups related to databasesHi, I've had this same issue on two machines, one Win2k3 Server and a XP SP1 machine. The problem is that after installing SP3 opening any SQL Gui tool (I think it's only that as osql.exe don't cause this) including the SQL Service Manager causes CSRSS.EXE to spike at 100% and basically render the machine unusable. Closer inspection reveals that it's continually respawning whichever application you opened. I've seen this referenced [1] a while back but no real cause/solutions : S Any help would greatly appreciated as it's quite urgent that I get a working SQL server. Thanks in advance, Armand [1] http://www.derkeiler.com/Newsgroups... 53.html
