Re: SQL Mail - MAPI profiles on Windows Server 2003You need a separate SMTP server to handle the emails - MSSQL itself doesn't do that; most email servers support SMTP, so you may be able to use your organization's existing server. Many companies find it useful to have SMTP available for applications (including MSSQL) to use, since it's a well-established standard and there are plenty of client libraries available. Simon
