Drop Table
Support Forum for database administrators and web based access to important newsgroups related to databasesI am sort of new to SQL. I use MS-Access most of the time so I do not know if you can do this, but... In MS-Access there was a tool called documenter that would list out the table def's such as fields, sizes, data types, etc. Is there such a thing in SQL? I am using MS-SQL 2000 server. In Enterprise Manager there are some graphical utilities, you can start looking for Diagrams. > Using the following: > > Select * > From INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES > > I only get the the table listings. Personally, I am more fond of using the system tables directly, as INFORMATION_SCHEMA does not have all information, for instance, there is no information about indexes. -- Erland Sommarskog, SQL Server MVP, esquel@sommarskog.se Books Online for SQL Server SP3 at http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techin.../2000/books.asp
