2 different versions!
We have two database servers. Apparently they are running two different
versions of SQL Server 2000. Can someone tell me what are the differences
between the two versions?

Server 1

Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows
NT 5.0 (Build 2195: Service Pack 4)

Server 2
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.2039 (Intel X86) May 3 2005 23:18:38

Re: 2 different versions!
Hi,

8.00.760 > 2000 SP3/SP3a

8.00.2039 > 2000 SP4 ** (Recommended Patch Level)

See the below URL:-

Re: 2 different versions!
Thanks for your reply.

Something is not right. Our Windows 2000 Servers are all patched with SP4.
So, I don't understand why that info says it is "2000 SP3/SP3a".

Any idea how I can update 8.00.760 to 8.00.2039?

Thanks again.

Re: 2 different versions!
He means SP4 for SQL Server - not Windows.

Not Windows 2000 SP4. SQL Server SP4.

See:

The build numbers will be the same on different SQL Server editions as long
as the same SQL service packs/hotfixes are applied. It looks like Bob is
running SP3 on the Standard instance and SP4 on the Enterprise instance.
