special registry keys
Hi,

I am currently backin-up my complete environment to foresee a crash
recovery. My ERP 5Baan IV) prompts me to "back-up the registry keys which
are specific of MSQL" with no more details.

Could someone enlighten me on the subject? Thx in advance.

Re: special registry keys
Hi

If you are looking at restoring from a failure that corrupts the registry
then you may be better backing up the whole registry as other non-MSSQL may
need to be restored.

Re: special registry keys
I indeed already did so. But while the ERP baking-up process was very
precise about the keys related to the program itself, it only gave the
message I told you about concerning MSSQL.

Furthermore, after a potential crash it might not be always safe to restore
the whole registry.

I'm still interested to know which keys are specifically related to MSSQL...

thx in advance

Hi

See

There is an option to rebuild the registry within the setup application.
